Tealights will lead you through the Rainbow Vista Trail on this self-guided Full Moon Hike. DUE TO LIMITED PARKING, RESERVATIONS AND TIMED ARRIVAL ARE REQUIRED! See below for details.
Reservations and Contact:
This program is hosted by Valley of Fire State Park.
To reserve your spot, send the following information to kwolfe@parks.nv.gov :
- Name
- Number of cars in your group
- Your requested arrival time(s) in order of preference from these options: 7pm, 7:30pm, 8pm, 8:30pm, and 9pm. (Regardless of arrival time, all guests must be back in their vehicles by 10pm) ***
*** Timeslots will be filled on a first-requested, first-assigned basis.
*** We will start sending out confirmations on Tuesday, September 22.
*** If you DO NOT want to explore the park in the daytime, please choose from the 7:30-9:00pm arrival times so those who are in the park during the day can take the 7pm slot.
*** If you DO want to explore the park in the daytime, please choose the 7pm arrival slot so you won't have to leave and come back.
Need to Know
• The West Entrance/Exit will be OPEN.
• Pets allowed (must be on a 6 foot leash)
• Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check your reservation email for updates before you head out.
• Due to limited parking at Rainbow Vista, guests who arrive without a reservation will be turned away.
What to Bring
• Flashlight with a red, blue, or green setting.
• Water
• Comfortable shoes
• Weather-appropriate clothing
What to Expect
• A self-guided hike along the 1-mile (total distance) Rainbow Vista Trail
• Tealights will mark the trail
• Sandy and rocky terrain
Fees & Registration
• Park entrance fee (Per Vehicle): $10/NV-Res, $15/Non-NV Res
