Rediscover Cave Lake: Grand Reopening Celebration

Join us for a historic celebration as we officially welcome back water recreation to Cave Lake State Park after years of restoration! The Rediscover Cave Lake event marks the return of one of Nevada’s most beloved outdoor destinations, bringing together the community for a full day of adventure, entertainment, and appreciation of this scenic park.

After being drained in 2019 for essential dam repairs, Cave Lake is back and better than ever! This exciting event is a tribute to the lake’s legacy and future, featuring music, food vendors, outdoor activities, and a ceremonial ribbon-cutting to welcome back visitors. Enjoy a day packed with fun, including:

• Nevada Department of Wildlife Float Tube Fly Fishing Clinic – Try to reel in the biggest catch!

• White Pine County and Nevada State Parks Guided Hikes – Explore the park’s incredible wildlife and landscapes.

• White Pine County Mountain Bike Rides – Ride through scenic trails with fellow outdoor enthusiasts.

• Live DJ – Enjoy a Live DJ throughout the day.

• Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony at 1:00 PM – Celebrate the official reopening with representatives from Nevada State Parks, the Nevada Department of Wildlife, and more.

• Rubber Ducky Race – Purchase a branded rubber ducky and watch it float in the newly refilled lake for a chance to win prizes!

• Kayaking & Paddleboarding – Experience the pristine waters of Cave Lake firsthand.

• Food & Vendor Booths – Browse local businesses, enjoy delicious food, and learn more about Nevada’s outdoor recreation opportunities.
