Mouse’s Tank Night Hike (Self-guided)
Hike one of our trails under the stars!
Date: Wednesday, March 11 and Thursday, March 12
Location: VARIES BY DATE.
- Wednesday, March 11: Mouse's Tank
- Thursday, March 12: Elephant Rock Loop
Time: Arrive to the trailhead between 7 and 8pm. You must be back in your vehicle by 9pm.
Need to Know:
- Other than the specific trail listed each day for this event, all other trails and areas of the park are CLOSED after sunset.
- Pets allowed (must be on a 6 foot leash or in a carrier).
- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.
- Use the links below to help you find the trailheads:
What to Bring
- A flashlight with a red, blue, or green setting. These colors are less disturbing to others.
- Water.
- Comfortable hiking shoes.
- Weather-appropriate clothing.
What to Expect
- Tealights will be placed along the trail to guide you on this self-guided hike.
- A self-guided hike through one of our trails!
- Mouse's Tank: 0.75 mile out-and-back trail over flat, sandy terrain.
- Elephant Rock Loop: 1.25 mile loop over sandy and rugged terrain. One area has uneven carved stone steps.
- Trails feel twice as long as listed.
Fees & Registration
- Included with regular entrance fee.
- Please pay the entrance fee at the self-serve kiosk at the gate when you arrive into the park.
- Park entrance fee: $10/vehicle (NV Res) or $15/vehicle (Non-NV)
- Drop-in welcome. (No reservation required!)
