Full Moon Hike

Experience Cathedral Gorge under the light of a full moon. Join park staff for a three-mile guided hike on the Juniper Draw Trail and discover some of the nocturnal animals that live here.

Need to Know

• Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
• Pets are allowed, but must be on a leash at all times
• Meet at the day use picnic area ramada
• Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.

What to Bring

• Water
• Comfortable hiking shoes
• Flashlight
• Dress in layers for the weather

What to Expect

• Outdoor environment with opportunities for questions and discussion
• 3-mile round-trip hike with minimal elevation gain (approximately 200 feet)
• Sandy, uneven surface
• A hike after dark to learn about nocturnal wildlife

Fees & Registration

• No program fee
• Park entrance fees are $5 per vehicle for Nevada residents and $10 per vehicle for non-Nevada residents
• Registration is required. Please email cgsp@parks.nv.gov.
