Fort Churchill State Historic Park - Visitor Center

Enjoy an afternoon of seasonal fun at Fort Churchill. This family-friendly event will feature games on the visitor center lawn, crafts, and treats (while supplies last). Bring a picnic lunch and plan to spend the afternoon enjoying the park.

Need to Know

  • Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.
  • The event takes place outdoors. Visitors should be prepared for changing weather conditions.

  • Weather-appropriate clothing
  • Comfortable walking shoes
  • Water
  • Picnic lunch if planning to stay for the duration

What to Expect

  • A relaxed, family-friendly event.
  • Fall Fling activities begin at 11:00 am on the visitor center lawn.
  • Crafts and treats will be available while supplies last.
  • Scavenger hunt along the Ruins Trail (0.6 mi).

Fees & Registration

  • Park entrance fee: $5.00 per vehicle with Nevada plates, $10.00 out-of-state.
  • There is no additional cost for this program.
  • No registration required.
