Coffee Talk with Special Guest: Rachel VanHorn

Special guest alert!  Meet zoologist and CCSD science teacher Rachel VanHorn and learn about hummingbirds in Southern Nevada.  Rachel will tell you about how to identify the most common species, how they thrive in the Mojave Desert, and how to make them safe and welcome in your backyard..

BYOM (Bring your own mug) come by, we’ll talk, no big whoop. Join a ranger or two and talk amongst yourselves. You can ask questions about the park, share stories, geek out, and meet new people. This event is co-hosted by the park's non-profit partner -- Protectors of Tule Springs -- who will be on-hand to share what their organization does in support of the park! We will have hot coffee, tea, and seasonal beverages to fill your mugs. This is a drop-in style program so you can stop by anytime between 9am-11am to participate.
