Bird Walk with Red Rock Audubon Society

Join an Audubon walk leader, Sonya Wilson,  to look and listen for the ranch’s feathered visitors. Keep an eye out for Gambel’s quail, mourning doves, Anna’s hummingbirds, and maybe even a greater roadrunner. Whether you know every bird call or are just beginning to wonder “What was that?”, you’re welcome.

Bird sightings are never guaranteed—that’s part of the fun. Who will we find?

What to Bring

 Participants need to wear shoes appropriate for uneven ground. Additionally, please remember to bring sunscreen, plenty of water, snacks for yourself, binoculars, and appropriate clothing for the day (such as a hat and layers to adjust as the day warms up and to protect you from the desert sun).

What to Expect

We’ll walk two trails with easy to moderate difficulty for 2 to 3 miles, depending on the interests of the group.
