WHEN: 8:30am-12pm on Saturday, January 18
WHAT: This is a 4 mile hike with 600 ft gain. From the Mouse’s Tank parking area the hike heads briefly north before turning down canyons and washes to Fire Canyon Wash. After a sandy walk, the route heads southeast up a rocky area to a high break point. After the break, the hike heads west past the triple arch and the double stacked arch before clambering up and over Mouse’s Tank.

** This off-trail hike is for experienced hikers ONLY. Approximate actual distances are given, but the nature of off-trail hiking in Valley of Fire means that the perceived distance is about twice the actual distance (i.e. a 4 mile hike ‘feels like’ an 8 mile hike.)
