Grand Opening Valley of Fire Visitor Center

Join Nevada State Parks for the Grand Opening Celebration of the new Valley of Fire Visitor Center on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Festivities begin at 9:00 AM as guests gather in front of the visitor center to commemorate this historic milestone. Remarks from park and state officials will begin at 9:30 AM, followed by the official ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:00 AM, marking the opening of the state-of-the-art facility.

At 11:00 AM, guests can enjoy the first showing of the new 10-minute orientation video, Valley of Fire: A Journey Through Time and Stone, narrated by William Shatner. From then on, the film will play on a continuous loop every 15 minutes.

Throughout the day, enjoy food and drink vendors, explore interactive booths from community and state partners, and experience special programs in the new 200-seat outdoor amphitheater. Visitors are encouraged to stay and explore the stunning landscapes of Nevada’s oldest and most iconic state park.

The celebration concludes at 3:00 PM, but the new visitor center will remain open until 4:00 PM for guests to enjoy its exhibits and displays. Regular operating hours for the visitor center will be 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily.
