Bring your family and join our friendly and knowledgeable rangers as they lead you through the beautiful Sandstone Canyon and Lake Harriet Overlook trails. This hike will take you past some of the oldest buildings in the state and into the heart of one of the most pristine canyons in the Red Rock Escarpment. It will also take you to Lake Harriet, home of the endangered Pahrump Poolfish.
This hike will be of a moderate-strenuous difficulty and will occur at a quick pace. Please be prepared for a vigorous walk as we explore our spectacular park. Come prepared with appropriate clothing, including closed toed shoes, and supplies, such as water, food and cameras. Pets are welcome but must remain on a 6-foot leash, be under control at all times, and owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.
