Free Adventure Day 2024

CARSON CITY, NV. – The Nevada Division of State Parks is excited to announce Free Adventure Day on June 8, 2024. In celebration of the state's natural beauty and recreational opportunities, entrance fees will be waived for all visitors at every Nevada State Park. This special event provides an excellent opportunity for residents and tourists alike to explore the diverse landscapes and outdoor activities that Nevada's state parks have to offer.

Date: Saturday, June 8, 2024

Locations: All 27 Nevada State Parks

Free Adventure Day coincides with the Nevada Department of Wildlife's Nevada Free Fishing Day, allowing visitors to fish without a fishing license. This collaboration offers an exceptional chance to enjoy fishing in the abundant waters of Nevada's state parks, further enhancing the outdoor adventure experience.

In addition to enjoying the natural scenery, visitors can participate in a variety of activities planned for the day. Parks may offer guided hikes, educational programs, and family-friendly events to enhance the experience. Information on park events can be found at https://parks.nv.gov/events

Visitors are encouraged to plan their trip in advance, bring plenty of water, and prepare for varying weather conditions. As always, Nevada State Parks remain committed to preserving the natural environment and ask that all guests follow Leave No Trace principles to help protect these treasured landscapes.

All other park fees still apply including camping, boating, and group use areas. Parks that currently require day-use reservations will operate on a first come, first served basis.
