Seasonal Trail Closures at Valley of Fire State Park Beginning Wednesday, May 15, 2025
OVERTON, Nev. – To prioritize visitor safety and prevent life-threatening situations, Valley of Fire State Park will implement its seasonal trail closures starting Wednesday, May 15, 2025. The affected trails include Fire Wave, Seven Wonders Loop, Pastel Canyon Prospect, Arrowhead, Pinnacles, White Domes, Charlie Springs, and Natural Arches Trails.
Extreme heat and hazardous weather conditions have contributed to numerous search and rescue operations in past seasons. Hiking in these conditions not only endangers visitors but also places park personnel and emergency responders at risk. Park staff will strictly enforce these closures, and citations may be issued as necessary to ensure compliance.
