Wild Horse Outdoor Discovery Day

Celebrate National Public Lands Day with us at Wild Horse State Recreation Area during the inaugural Outdoor Discovery Day! This family-friendly event is the perfect way to enjoy Nevada’s great outdoors while giving back to our public lands.

From 9 AM to 3 PM, visitors can take part in outdoor activities and educational programs that highlight the beauty and importance of Wild Horse and its surrounding landscapes. Expect interactive booths, interpretive hikes, hands-on learning experiences, and opportunities to connect with park staff and community partners.

Participants of all ages are welcome. Be sure to dress for the outdoors, bring water, sunscreen, and sturdy shoes.

As part of National Public Lands Day, all participants will be joining a nationwide movement dedicated to preserving and enjoying our shared natural and cultural resources. Anyone interested in volunteering that day will also receive a free entry pass for a future visit to Nevada's State Parks.
