First Day Hike

cathedral gorge state park

Start the year off with beautiful hike at Cathedral Gorge State Park. This is a ranger-led hike of the Eagle Point trail at the Miller Point Overlook, north end of Cathedral Gorge. Meet just before 10 am at the Miller Point parking area.

Park entrance fees are waived for participants. In the event of severe weather, the event may be canceled.

WHEN: Sunday, January 1, 2023 10 am – 11 am

WHERE: Cathedral Gorge State Park, Lincoln County, Nevada 

  • 3 hours North of Las Vegas: I-15 N to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge State Park, Panaca, NV.
  • 1-1/2 hours Southeast of Ely: US-93 S to Cathedral Gorge State Park, Panaca, NV.
  • 1-1/2 hours West of Cedar City, Utah: West on 200N to UT-56W to NV-319 W to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge State Park, Panaca, NV
  • 1-1/2 hours Northwest of St. George, Utah: S 700 E to UT-18 N to UT-56W to NV-319 W to US-93 N to Cathedral Gorge State Park, Panaca, NV.
