South Fork Fisherman’s Point Winter Vehicle Closure

For safety and resource protection, the Fisherman's Point Road at South Fork State Recreation Area is closed to motorized vehicles approximately ¾ of a mile from the entrance gate for the winter. Visitors can still still walk-in to access the remaining portion of shoreline beyond the closure gate.

The closure affects less than ½ mile of roadway and helps preserve recently restored roads while ensuring emergency vehicles can safely respond if needed. The gate will reopen in the spring or as soon as conditions allow.
