Big Bend of the Colorado to Require Day Use Reservations
LAUGHLIN, Nev. – Nevada State Parks announces the implementation of required day use reservations at Big Bend of the Colorado State Recreation Area, effective May 11, 2024. This requirement is aimed at optimizing visitor experiences and alleviating congestion during peak hours.
Beginning on May 11 through September 30, visitors seeking entry before 11:30am are required to secure a valid day use reservation. Reservations, accessible up to 10:30am the day of arrival, can be conveniently made via the dedicated online portal at www.reservenevada.com.
To accommodate spontaneous visits, entry after 11:30am will be granted on a first come, first served basis, subject to park capacity.
Reservations made before the day of arrival are subject to a non-refundable $5 reservation fee; however, reservation fees for same-day bookings are waived. Day use reservations are valid until 11:30am. Visitors who arrive after 11:30am are not guaranteed entrance and will not receive a refund. Online users are encouraged to review the terms and conditions found on reservenevada.com before booking.
Since its inception in 2023, reservenevada.com has transformed trip planning across Nevada's state parks, offering a centralized platform for camping reservations. Big Bend of the Colorado is the first to implement day-use reservations. Nevada State Parks will provide timely notifications when other parks begin to require the same process.
