World Atlatl Competition

March 17th Atlatl Demonstration:

When: 1 p.m. - 2 p.m.

Where: Atlatl Rock Picnic Area

Join members of the World Atlatl Association and park staff for a demonstration on how to properly use the ancient spear-throwing tool known as the atlatl. Participants are welcome to try throwing atlatls on their own. Following atlatl demonstration, join members for an arial target demonstration.

March 17 and 18 Atlatl Championship

When: March 17, all day, March 10 until 1 p.m.

Where: Atlatl Rock Picnic Area

Registration for the competition begins at 8 a.m. Plaques will be awarded for the first, second and third places in men's, women's and youth divisions. Atlatls will be available for those who don't have their own but wish to participate. Award ceremony the 18th at 2 p.m.
