Trash Can Turkey and Dutch Oven Demo

Join Ranger Dan for a Trashcan turkey cooking and Dutch oven desert demonstration at the visitor’s center at Pitchfork Ranch. Dogs are welcome to join as long as they are on a leash. Meet at the visitor center at 11:15 a.m. and the cookout will begin shortly thereafter. It will be a fun day to enjoy some great cooking. Dress weather appropriate and bring your water bottles and appetite.

WHEN: Saturdaty, November 13, 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at the Visitor Center at the Walker River State Recreation Area, Pitchfork Ranch, 211 E. Walker Rd., Yerington, NV 89447. From Yerington, head south on Hwy 208 and turn left on East Walker Road, continue for 4 miles to the entrance of the Pitchfork Ranch.

COST: This event is free to the public, however the $5.00 day use fee per vehicle to enter the park still applies.
