The Story of This Land

Valley of Fire

The forces of nature can be a mighty power, and often looking around, it can be hard to imagine that wind, rain, snow, and ice created what we see today. Join a ranger on an hour and one-half walk along the Fire Wave Trail to help wrap your head around the geology of this park, and how it all came to be.

WHEN: Sunday, January 19, 9:30am-11am

WHERE: Meet at parking lot #3 on the White Domes Road

COST: This event is free of charge; however, Valley of Fire State Park does have a day-use fee of $10 per vehicle

CONTACT: Rosa Prasser, 702-397-2088, rprasser@parks.nv.gov
