This after-hours hike gives you the chance to visit the park bright and early as the desert starts to wake up but before it gets too hot. Rangers will take hikers to off-trail parts on the park not normally open to visitors for about 2.5 miles. The difficulty will be moderate; beginner hikers might find the route challenging. Close-toed shoes and plenty of water are required, and hikers are advised to dress appropriately for heat, direct sun and moving through rough brush.
