Join us for an educational guided morning hike on the Fire Wave Trail. It's early, but you'll be glad you came!
No reservation required.
WHEN: Saturday, February 17
5:45-7:15am
Plan to arrive a little early to account for travel delays.
WHERE: Fire Wave Trailhead
Meet at the P3 Parking Lot. ("Fire Wave Trailhead" in Valley of Fire can be found on Google Maps. "P3" is five miles north of the Visitor Center)
COST: Included with park entry fee.
Fee can be paid at the kiosks at park entrances.
NV Residents: $10 per vehicle
Out of State Guests: $15 per vehicle
WHAT: A ~1.5 mile out-and-back trail over loose sand and rough terrain featuring one of the park's most colorful and popular rock formations. We'll learn about the geology and wildlife we see on the hike. Please bring water, wear hiking shoes, and dress for the weather. Due to the nature of the terrain, this ~1.5 mile trek feels more like a 3 mile hike to the average person.
