Special Exhibit: Moulin Rouge
Throughout Black History Month the Old Fort has a special exhibit about the Moulin Rouge, the first integrated hotel-casino in the United States! The Moulin Rouge opened in 1955 just a few blocks from the park and blazed a trail where no one had ever gone before. Though it was only open for six months, it left a legacy of a more equal and inclusive city. The exhibit includes original artifacts as well as historic photographs.
