South Fork Clean Park Initiative - National Public Lands Day

It's National Public Lands Day! Time to celebrate our public areas, and volunteer to help maintain and preserve these special places. Join us for a fun morning of getting dirty as we begin our "Clean Park Initiative" by installing pet waste stations around the park and doing some litter patrol. This project will involve a variety of tasks, from litter clean-up, to mixing concrete and setting posts, to assembling and installing pet waste stations at strategic areas around the park. Snacks and water will be provided, and we will wrap the day with an interpretive program on Leave No Trace ethics for outdoor recreation. We will start around 9:00am and plan to finish up around 1:00pm. Gloves, safety glasses, and all tools will be provided. Dress for the weather, and wear sturdy shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty. 

Open to all ages (certain tasks will will require age-appropriate youth/adults and will be supervised by park staff). Youth under 18 will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
