Self-guided Full Moon Hike

Valley of Fire State Park

**Note that the park closes at sunset. You must be attending a park-approved event to be anywhere in the park after hours, and you must be in the specific area(s) where the event is being held. Commercial photography is prohibited without a permit. **

WHAT: Hike the 1.8 mile Seven Wonders loop over loose sand, rugged terrain, and uneven ground under the light of the Full Moon. This is a self-guided hike that takes about an hour and a half to complete. The trail will be marked with tealights to keep you on track, but they are not bright enough to help you see in the dark; a flashlight with a red setting is recommended.

WHERE: Fire Wave/Seven Wonders Trailhead (At parking lot "P3", 5 miles north of the Visitor Center)

WHEN: Wednesday, April 5
Arrive any time between 6:30pm and 7pm.
***You must be back in your vehicle, ready to exit the parking area, by 9pm at the LATEST.***

BRING: Close-toed shoes, water, a red light. (Using a red light helps you keep your night vision and is less bothersome to other guests)

COST: Pay at the kiosks/fee tubes when entering the park. We recommend bringing cash and exact change.
- $10 for NV Residents per vehicle,
- $15 for Out of State Guests per vehicle.
(If you have a NEVADA STATE PARKS Annual Pass or a receipt from entry to the park earlier on the same day you do not have to pay the above fee!)

No reservation required.
