Pollinator Walk
Explore a native milkweed patch buzzing with bees, ladybugs, butterflies, and many other beneficial insects! We will spend some time observing these important pollinators before planting mini take-home greenhouses with native wildflower seeds. Advance reservations are required for this event so the park can plan for supplies. WHEN: Sunday, July 13, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
WHERE: Washoe Lake State Park, 4855 Eastlake Blvd., Washoe Valley, NV 89704. Meet at the Maze parking lot inside the park. Take Exit 10 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd. for four miles. The park entrance is on the left. Turn left past the fee booth and the Maze is the first parking lot on the right.
COST: No additional fee is required beyond the standard park entrance fees: $5 for Nevada residents and $10 for non-residents.
PLEASE NOTE: This program involves observing bees, wasps, and other insects that could bite or sting if approached too closely.
