Dust off your boots and hitch up your wagon, ‘cause Spring Mountain Ranch State Park is fixin’ to celebrate the grit and gumption of the first homesteaders who braved the wild frontier! On Saturday, October 3, 2026, families are invited to join in a day full of old-fashioned fun, hard work, and hearty laughter.
Ever wonder what life was like before electricity, microwaves, and smartphones? Well, here’s your chance to find out! From churnin’ fresh butter outta cream to stirrin’ up homemade soap, you’ll roll up your sleeves and try your hand at the daily chores that kept a pioneer household runnin’.
But it ain’t all work and no play! There’s gold in them thar hills—pan for treasure, try your luck with a lasso, and learn a few knots that every rancher worth his salt oughta know. And when the fiddles start playin’, swing your partner round and round with our local square dancers showin’ you the steps.
Bring the whole family for a rootin’-tootin’ good time filled with history, hands-on fun, and the spirit of the Old West. Pack a picnic, wear your cowboy hat, and step back into a time when life was tougher—but mighty rewarding.
Event is free with your park entrance of $10.00 for NV residents and $15.00 for non-residents. Of course annual NV State Park passes are accepted.
