October ‘24 Full Moon Hike

Join us for a full moon hike!

 

WHEN: Thursday, 10/17/2024
Arrive between 7:00—8:00pm ;
Be back in your vehicle no later than 9:30pm.

 

WHERE: Fire Wave Trail
(Park in Lot “P3,” 5 miles north of Visitor Center)

 

WHAT: Hike a self-guided ~1.5 mile out-and-back trail under the light of the full moon! Tealights will guide the way but a flashlight with a red, green, or blue setting is helpful. (You will need a flashlight!) People typically spend about an hour on this trail. There will be rough, uneven terrain and loose sand.

 

**Note that the park closes at sunset. You must be attending a park-approved event to be anywhere in the park after hours, and you must be in the specific area where the event is being held. Commercial photography is prohibited without a permit. **
