New Moon Hike at White Domes Loop (Self-guided)
** No reservation required!
WHAT: Hike a 1 mile loop trail over loose sand and uneven ground under the stars. We’ll set up tealights to help you find your way, but a flashlight with red setting is necessary.
WHEN: Tuesday, December 12
Arrive between 5:30 and 7:30pm;
You must be back in your vehicle by 9pm. (The trail typically takes 45 minutes to complete, but you are welcome to stop and stargaze!)
WHERE: White Domes Loop
- Drive ~6 miles north of the Visitor Center on White Domes Road; this road ends at the parking lot for this hike.
BRING: Close-toed shoes, water, a red light. (Using a red light helps you keep your night vision and is less bothersome to other guests)
COST:
- $10 for NV Residents per vehicle,
- $15 for Out of State Guests per vehicle.
(If you have a NEVADA STATE PARKS Annual Pass or a receipt from entry to the park earlier on the same day you do not have to pay the above fee!)

**Note that the park closes at sunset. You must be attending a park-approved event to be anywhere in the park after hours, and you must be in the specific area(s) where the event is being held. Commercial photography is prohibited without a permit. **
