Seasonal Fire Restrictions in Effect

In honor of National Audubon Day, we will be holding a birdwatching program at the Washoe Lake Wetlands on the south end of the park. Participants should bring binoculars, sun protection, insect repellant, and dress for the weather. The park has a limited supply of binoculars and bird guides to use during the program.
WHEN: Wednesday, April 26, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.
WHERE: Meet at the Wetlands parking lot on the south end of Washoe Lake. Take Exit 10 from I-580 and drive north approximately two miles on Eastlake Blvd. The Wetlands parking lot is on the left.
WHO: This event is open to the public and is hosted by Washoe Lake State Park.
