Kite Flying at the Fort

The sky’s the limit when it comes to ways in which visitors can enjoy Fort Churchill, and with its regular breezes and wide open spaces, we can’t think of a better place to spend Go Fly a Kite Day. Feel free to bring your own kite or come assemble and decorate one before you send it soaring. Free kite kits will be available while supplies last. Drop in anytime between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.

WHEN: Sunday, April 21, 2024, 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at the Fort Churchill Museum. Fort Churchill is located 8 miles south of the Highway 95A/Highway 50 intersection on Highway 95A at 10000 Highway 95A, Silver Springs, NV 89429.

WHO: The program is open to the public and hosted by Fort Churchill State Historic Park.

COST: Park entrance fees apply, $5.00 per vehicle ($10.00 for non-Nevada vehicles). There is no additional cost to participate in the program.
