Junior Ranger 101

Ice Age Fossils State Park

Learn about how to become a Junior Ranger, as well as some of the core Leave No Trace principles. Earn a badge and other prizes for being a good Junior Ranger and color a paper ranger to take home. This program is for park visitors of all ages and is kid friendly.

Need to Know

  • The location of this program (indoors or outdoors) will be determined the morning of the event.
  • Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult

What to Expect

  • This is a tabletop educational program with visual aids and hands-on elements.
  • Paper rangers are coloring sheets where you can design and color your own ranger uniform.

Fees & Registration

  • The $3 per person (kids 12 and under are free) entry fee applies.
  • There is no additional cost for this program.
  • Drop in anytime between 9:00 am – 11:00 am. No registration required.
