Guided New Moon Hike - Seven Wonders

Valley of Fire State Park

Bring a flashlight (preferably one with a red, blue, or green setting) and join us for a guided new moon hike on Wednesday, February 26! Details below.

WHAT: Hike under the stars on the Seven Wonders Loop! This trail is a 1.8 mile loop over loose sand and uneven terrain. It features the Fire Wave, Pink Canyon, and small slot canyons. This loop feels more like a 3.5 mile hike due to the terrain.

WHERE: Trailhead off of Parking Lot "P3." 5 miles north of the Visitor Center on White Domes Road/Mouse's Tank Road.

* Each month, a trail is featured for guests to experience in different ways: Illuminated by the full moon, under the stars, along a guided hike at sunrise, and on your own during operating hours. The day of the full moon determines which day of the week these opportunities occur each month.

** Note that the park CLOSES at Sunset. Guests are only permitted to hike the trails at night if they are actively participating in one of these events.
