Guided Morning Hike

Valley of fire state park

Join us for an educational guided morning hike on the Mouse's Tank/Petroglyph Canyon Trail. It's early, but you'll be glad you came!

No reservation required!

WHEN: Monday, March 4, 2024
6:00-7:15am
Plan to arrive a little early to account for travel delays.

WHERE: Mouse's Tank/Petroglyph Canyon Trailhead
("Petroglyph Canyon Parking Lot" in Valley of Fire can be found on Google Maps. It is a mile north of the Visitor Center)

COST: Included with park entry fee.
Fee can be paid at the kiosks at park entrances.
NV Residents: $10 per vehicle
Out of State Guests: $15 per vehicle

WHAT: A ~0.75 mile out-and-back trail over loose sand and rocky terrain featuring hundreds of petroglyphs carved hundreds of years ago. We'll learn about the geology and wildlife we see on the hike. Please bring water, wear hiking shoes, and dress for the weather.
