Full Moon Hike

Explore Washoe Lake State Park under the light of a full moon! Join park staff for a guided walk along the beach and through the park’s day use area.

WHEN: Friday, August 8, 2025, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at the Maze parking lot inside the park on the south end of the lake. Take Exit 10 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd. for four miles. The park entrance is on the left. Turn left past the fee booth and the Maze is the first parking lot on the right.

COST: No additional fee is required beyond the standard park entrance fees: $5 for Nevada residents and $10 for non-residents.                                 

MORE: This walk is approximately 1.5 miles long and is easy but involves walking in loose sand. Participants should bring water, a flashlight, and comfortable walking shoes.
