Evening Sand Dunes Hike

Join park staff for an evening hike through the sand dunes at the north end of Washoe Lake. Reservations are required for this hike and can be made by calling 775-687-4319 or e-mailing wlsp@parks.nv.gov. This is an easy, one mile, round-trip hike. Participants should bring a flashlight, dress for the weather, and wear sturdy hiking boots, as this trail involves hiking in loose sand. Pets are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times.

WHEN: Sunday, May 19, 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

WHERE: Meet at the North Boat Ramp Parking Lot. Take Exit 44 from I-580 and drive north on Eastlake Blvd. approximately 6 miles. Turn left onto Douglas Dr. and drive west approximately 1.5 miles. Turn right onto Lakeshore Dr. and take an immediate left turn into the park. The parking lot is approximately ¼ mile down the road.
