Basic Birdwatching
Meet at the park entrance for an introduction to birdwatching! A limited number of binoculars and bird guides will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them! We will introduce participants to Dayton State Park and its variety of birds before making our way along the Carson River. The walk is less than one mile, round-trip. This family-friendly program will last approximately one hour. Pets are not recommended for this program. Participants should bring a hat, comfortable walking shoes, water, sun protection, and insect repellant.
WHAT: Basic Birdwatching
WHEN: Saturday, May 15, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
WHERE: Dayton State Park. 825 US-50, Dayton, NV 89403. The park is 12 miles east of Carson City on US Highway 50. We will meet at the park entrance.
WHO: This event is open to the public and is hosted by Dayton State Park.
COST: The park entrance fee is $5 for Nevada residents and $10 for non-residents. There is no additional fee for this program. We are able to accept cash or check at the self-pay station.
