April New Moon Hike

Valley of Fire State Park

If you thought Valley of Fire was exciting in the day, wait ‘til you experience it at night! Two weeks ago we had a self-guided hike along Mouse’s Tank Trail under the light of the Full Moon, and now we’re offering this opportunity again but during the night of the New Moon! Same trail, totally different experience.

WHEN: Saturday, April 30th.  Arrive any time between 8:00pm and 9:00pm. Be back in your vehicle, ready to leave the parking area and exit the park, by 9:45pm at the latest.

WHERE: Mouse’s Tank Trailhead. The trail will be marked with tealights to help you find your way. The trail is ¾ of a mile long and takes roughly 30-45 minutes to complete. Since it will be DARK you must stay on the trail and make sure the tealights are in view. Off-trail hiking is not permitted at this event.

COST: Pay at the self-pay stations at either entrance.

- $10 for NV Residents per vehicle,

- $15 for Out of State Guests per vehicle.

(If you have a NEVADA STATE PARKS Annual Pass or a receipt from entry to the park earlier on the same day you do not have to pay the above fee!)
