WHEN: 8:30am-12:30pm on Friday, November 24
WHAT: Spend time outdoors and not in the mall on Black Friday! From the White Domes area this loop goes south and then west and north along part of Magnesite Wash around the sandstone rock hills. The hike is 4 miles and less than 600 feet of gross gain. With some imagination, you can see what appears to be a stormtrooper and the laundress in the rock formations we pass. It is partial trail, partial sandy desert, and partial rock. There is a little scrambling down a couple of dry waterfalls.
WHERE: Meetup location will be sent via email when your reservation is confirmed.

** The advanced off-trail hikes are is over difficult, rough terrain, sometimes with deep, soft sand, sometimes up steep, solid rock where hands may be required, and sometimes scrambling up or down boulder sized rocks.
** This off-trail hike is for experienced hikers ONLY. Approximate actual distances are given, but the nature of off-trail hiking in Valley of Fire means that the perceived distance is about twice the actual distance (i.e. a 4 mile hike ‘feels like’ an 8 mile hike.)
** You will get tired!
