Advanced Off-trail Hike - February 2023

Please include names of all people in your party. 

Participants must be at least 10 years of age.
Space is limited.

Join us from 9am-2pm on Saturday, February 25 to hike the Duck Rock and Petroglyphs Advanced Off-trail Hike.  5 miles, 800 ft. gross gain.
We start up the old gravel road in the North of the park then wander around some of the washes and canyons viewing a few petroglyphs before coming back south to the iconic Duck Rock.

** This off-trail hikes is over difficult, rough terrain, sometimes with deep, soft sand, sometimes up steep, solid rock where hands may be required, and sometimes scrambling up or down boulder sized rocks. 

** This off-trail hike is for experienced hikers ONLY. Approximate actual distances are given, but the nature of off-trail hiking in Valley of Fire means that the perceived distance is about twice the actual distance (i.e. a 5 mile hike ‘feels like’ a 10 mile hike.) 

** You will get tired!
