Advanced Off Trail Hike - April 2023

WHEN: 9am-1pm on Saturday, April 1

WHAT: White Domes Central Advanced Off-trail Hike. 4 miles, 700 ft. gross gain.  This will be our last guided off-trail hike until October. 

This hike is a long, narrow loop south of the White Domes area and encompasses several canyons and washes, both rocky and sandy.  One canyon makes a shady interlude for the hike before turning back North along part of the Prospect Trail.

WHERE: Meetup location will be sent via email when your reservation is confirmed.

** This off-trail hikes is over difficult, rough terrain, sometimes with deep, soft sand, sometimes up steep, solid rock where hands may be required, and sometimes scrambling up or down boulder sized rocks.

** This off-trail hike is for experienced hikers ONLY. Approximate actual distances are given, but the nature of off-trail hiking in Valley of Fire means that the perceived distance is about twice the actual distance (i.e. a 4 mile hike ‘feels like’ an 8 mile hike.)

** You will get tired!
