Walk & Talk with a Ranger: Civilian Conservation Corps History
Join a park ranger for a guided hike to the historic Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) structures throughout Cathedral Gorge State Park. Along the way, you’ll learn about the CCC’s lasting impact on Nevada State Parks and how the work of these young laborers helped shape the future of the park. This three-mile hike travels across uneven terrain with gravel and clay surfaces. Portions of the route require moderate effort, including climbing stairs and navigating steep, natural sections of trail. Sturdy footwear is strongly recommended.
