Twilight Trek
Join Park Interpreter, Kristin Sanderson, for a special evening exploration of the park during International Dark Sky Week. Learn about the animals that depend on darkness and the adaptations that allow them to survive and thrive in the dark. Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable closed-toe shoes, bring water, insect repellent, mesh head net and a red light.

Need to Know
- Meet at the Pony Bob Haslam Group Use Area.
- Minors under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.

- Comfortable, closed-toe shoes
- Weather-appropriate clothing
- Water
- Insect repellent & mesh head net

What to Expect
- Easy pace hike (approximately 1 mile) on loose sand and uneven desert trail with little elevation gain.
- Outdoor setting with opportunities for questions and discussion.
- Educational, ranger-led experience.
- Multi-sensory experience.
Fees & Registration
- Park entrance fee: $5.00 per vehicle with Nevada plates, $10.00 out-of-state
- There is no additional cost for this program.
- No registration required.
