Start the day with a beautiful sunrise hike on the Rainbow Vista trail. See the sun rise over Silica Dome before continuing on, guided by a Park Ranger, to learn about the Park's geology, wildlife, and plants.
Need to Know
- Pets allowed (must be on a 6 foot leash)
- Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
- Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.
- Meet at the Rainbow Vista Trailhead (can be found on Google Maps).
- The trailhead is ~2miles north from the turn-off to White Domes Road (also called Mouse's Tank Road). The turn off is ~3.5 miles from both the West and East entrances to the park.

What to Expect
- A guided hike on the 1-mile long Rainbow Vista Trail.
- An optional off-trail trek up a steep incline for views of the sunrise.

- Sandy terrain (beachy type sand) and minimal scrambling/navigating over rocks.
- Pace of the hike will be tailored to the group's needs.
Fees & Registration
- Included with regular park entrance fee.
- Park entrance fee: $10/$15 per vehicle, NV-Res/Non-NV Res
- Drop-in welcome; No reservation required
