Second Birthday Hike-a-Palooza
The park is turning 2! Join us for a ranger guided hike on one or all three of our trails.
9am - 9:45am Megafauna Trail - Learn about some of the large animals that roamed the valley during the last Ice Age. This 0.3 mile trail is a hard-packed gravel surface that is suitable for hikers of all abilities and is accessible for mobility devices.
10:30am - 12pm Las Vegas Wash Trail - See the greenest area of the park and learn about the natural history of the site. This 1.5-mile trail is easy to moderate in difficulty with some steps, slopes, gravely surfaces, and uneven terrain.
1pm - 3pm Big Dig Trail - Explore some of the sites of the historic scientific expeditions as you traverse the badlands. This 2-mile trail is easy to moderate in difficulty with some steps, slopes, gravely surfaces, and uneven terrain.
Participants should plan on arriving at the park at least 15 minutes before the start of each program to give them enough time to check in.
