Scorpion Hunt

Join park staff for a Scorpion Hunt using black lights!

Need to Know

• Pets not allowed
• A limited number of black lights will be available to borrow
• Minors under 18 must be accompanied by an adult
• Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.

What to Bring

• Close-toed walking shoes (no sandals, please)
• Weather-appropriate clothing
• Water
• Flashlight

What to Expect

• Outdoor setting with opportunities for questions and discussion
• Short presentation about scorpions before walking to the sand dunes
• Easy walk on uneven ground through the sand dunes
• Educational, ranger-led experience

Fees & Registration

• No program fee
• Park entrance fee: $5 per vehicle for Nevada residents, $10 out of state
• No registration necessary, drop-ins welcome
