Seasonal Fire Restrictions in Effect

Why are there trees in the desert!? How did they get here!? And why are they as hard as a rock!? Discover the answer to these questions and many more when you join a ranger for an hour and a half guided hike among the petrified logs found in Valley of Fire State Park. This will be an easy hike, participants are encouraged to wear sunscreen, good hiking shoes, a hat, and to bring plenty of water.
WHEN: Sunday, March 24, 9 a.m. - 11 a.m.
WHERE: Meet at the petrified logs trailhead on the west side of the park.
COST: This event is free of charge; however, Valley of Fire State Park does have a day-use fee of $10 per vehicle.
