New Moon Hike - February

Valley of Fire State Park

**Note that the park closes at sunset. You must be attending a park-approved event to be anywhere in the park afterhours, and you must be in the specific area where the event is being held. Commercial photography is prohibited without a permit. **

WHEN: Saturday, February 10
Arrive between 6:00 and 7:00pm
* You must be back in your vehicle, ready to exit the park, by 8:30pm. The trail typically takes 45min-1hr to complete.

WHERE: Fire Wave. (Parking at lot "P3," 5 miles north of Visitor Center)

DETAILS: This hike is a self-guided, 1.5 mile out-and-back trek over loose sand and rough terrain to the Fire Wave formation. Tealights will guide you, but a flashlight with a red, green, or blue setting is very helpful. (A flashlight will be necessary)

COST:
$10 for NV Residents per vehicle,
$15 for Out of State Guests per vehicle.
(If you have a NEVADA STATE PARKS Annual Pass or a receipt from entry to the park earlier on the same day you do not have to pay the above fee!)
