Kite Flying at the Fort
The sky’s the limit when it comes to ways in which visitors can enjoy Fort Churchill. With its regular breezes and wide-open spaces, we can’t think of a better place to spend Go Fly a Kite Day. Feel free to bring your own kite or assemble and decorate one before you send it soaring. Free kite kits will be available while supplies last. Drop-in any time between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.

- Program is for park visitors of all ages and is kid friendly.
- Meet at the Fort Churchill Visitor Center.
- Program is weather dependent and may be cancelled without notice. Check the website for updates before you head out.

- Sun protection
What to Expect
- A fun afternoon of kite flying on the visitor center lawn.
- Free kite kits will be available while supplies last.
- Outdoor setting with opportunities for questions and discussion.
Fees & Registration
- Park entrance fee: $5.00 per vehicle with Nevada plates, $10.00 out-of-state
- There is no additional cost for this program.
- Drop-in any time between 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm.
