January Full Moon Hike

Valley of Fire State Park

** No reservation required!

WHAT: Hike a 1.25-mile loop trail over loose sand and rough terrain under the light of the full moon! Tealights will help guide the way but be sure to bring a flashlight.

WHEN: Thursday, January 25
Arrive between 5:30 and 6:00pm;
You must be back in your vehicle by 7:30pm. People typically spend an hour on this trail.

WHERE: Elephant Rock Loop. (Parking at East Entrance)

BRING: Close-toed shoes, water, and a red, green, or blue light. (Using these colors helps you keep your night vision and is less bothersome to other guests/animals)

COST:
- $10 for NV Residents per vehicle,
- $15 for Out of State Guests per vehicle.
(If you have a NEVADA STATE PARKS Annual Pass or a receipt from entry to the park earlier on the same day you do not have to pay the above fee!)

**Note that the park closes at sunset. You must be attending a park-approved event to be anywhere in the park after hours, and you must be in the specific area(s) where the event is being held. Commercial photography is prohibited without a permit. **
