First Day Hike (Reservations Required)
Ring in the New Year with a three-mile, round-trip hike along the Nature Trail at Fort Churchill State Historic Park. Hikers of all ages are invited to come be immersed in the beauty of Fort Churchill in winter and learn about the area’s rich history and abundant natural resources. Space is limited. Reservations required; please email ksanderson@parks.nv.gov to reserve your spot.
WHEN: Wednesday, January 1, 2025, 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
WHERE: Meet at the John C. Fremont Picnic Area at Fort Churchill State Historic Park. Fort Churchill is located 8 miles south of the Highway 95A/Highway 50 intersection on Highway 95A at 10000 Highway 95A, Silver Springs, NV 89429.
WHO: The program is open to the public and hosted by Fort Churchill State Historic Park.
COST: Park entrance fees apply, $5.00 per vehicle ($10.00 non-Nevada vehicles). There is no additional cost to participate in the program.
